Cloak and Dagger
Battle cloaks have now been available for over a week, but still a clear picture fails to emerge regarding which clans will adopt the item. At the moment, The Inner Circle appears to be the only large clan to have adopted the cloak en masse. Lady What The has been sporting the blue attire for some time. One notable exception, however, is Vermathrax-Rex who remains infra-blue.
Reports are sketchy, but it seems that Capadocious clan and the House of Heorot are ignoring the cloak entirely, as are the Church of Blood. The most interesting situation lies with the Shadow Court: after deciding democratically to adopt the cloak, a schism has occurred. At the time of writing, the vast majority of the rank and file have turned blue, but none of the leaders.
While they could clearly don the cloak at the drop of a hat, it smacks of poor leadership in not setting the example for others to follow, especially as the decision was made by the majority. It seems that in the Shadow Court democracy all are equal, but some are more equal than others.
Taken with the recent resignation of two of their Chancellors, and evilve_inc’s eschewing of Shadow Court matters to pursue a personal vendetta with Lucius, cracks are starting to appear in the clan designed to last forever. Their enemies will no doubt be watching events unfold with interest.

Though the cloak’s magic had been altered for better, the Capadocious Clan dislikes the fact that resters should depend on a piece of cloth, instead of honor, to keep their word. Also, the idea behind resting is to “rest”! Humans can help a powerful vampire reach 250 blood in less than 3 days. What kind of rest is that? We’re not donning that cloak, it’s not on our short-term nor middle-term plans.

Hear hear, I agree with this, however, it does not take into account that dishonorable’s would take advantage of those trying to remain honor-bound. I have yet to make a decision myself, nor has the CoB. I do not speak for the CoB, however, I assure the City…we will not be rushed into such a decision.

At the end, blue or not blue, resting will still be a matter of honor than other thing. If the cloak does not help truly separating this… why should we don it? Maybe at one time we will do, in order to interact with blue ones… but it’s not on our current plans.
Anyway, you can interact with blue in other, more pleasing ways ;)
