I’ve never been much of a poet, this I know is true half hearted attempts at writing, a prose, a word or two.

But you give me inspiration, to do this thing I lack, to create these rhymes for you and give you something back.

A piece of me I hand to you, with every written remark. Imaging you in my arms, my light, my love, my spark.

You’ve given me your love, your heart to safely keep, Your soul, your mind, your body, beside me while I sleep.

I’ll live with you, and stand with you, during every waking night, welcoming you home, with arms to hold you tight.

I’ll come to you, wherever you be, over seas, and land and shore. Because you are my heart, The one who I adore.
